happy new year gardeners!
hope your holidays have been rewarding – there are lots of great things in store for 2010 so come and help start it off right next SUNDAY, JANUARY 10th! it is the annual Mulchfest at McCarren park (and parks across the boroughs) and there is christmas tree mulch up for the taking! we are going to fill 2 pickup trucks with the stuff and spread it on jefferson street and in the community garden. please meet at the community garden on JANUARY 10TH @ 1pm to help spread it out! please bring gloves if you have them.
also, take a minute and check out the new trees on Bogart Street and the surrounding blocks! These trees were planted as part of our efforts for the LOVE YOUR (NYC) BLOCK Contest we entered in the summertime. There are loads of new trees in Bushwick thanks to the hardworking folks at TNT! stay warm tomorrow (it’s supposed to snow!) and we’ll see you next week!

hardy gardeners (and not-s0 hardy ones as well!)
thumb your nose at this foul weather and revel in the falling leaves and … um, garbage that has collected in our garden on Jefferson Street! Our poor little garden has been thoroughly neglected of late and we are going to dedicate our TNT time this SUNDAY, NOV. 15th @ 1pm to its rejuvenation! It’s dirty work but Jefferson Street is a well-travelled road and therefore it is so important that we keep it clean… a beautiful garden could make someone’s day! Besides, we have fun doing it and you will too! Please bring gloves and big garbage bags if you have them
see you sunday on jefferson street, between irving & wyckoff ~

it’s cold and fairly miserable outside, but community gardening makes you warm and lifts your spirits, yes? oh good! then we will be thrilled to have you join us on jefferson street, between irving & wyckoff, this sunday, october 18th @ 1pm for some self-sacrificing, community-improving garden clean-up and overhaul. we’ve got a bag full of daffodil bulbs to plant, and loads of garbage and weeds to attack. we would love your help and will give you hot cider! bring your gardening gloves and we’ll bring the tunes and the tools.
the community garden has almost given us the last of our tomatoes, and they sure are tasty!
behold the tomato harvest and the harvester!

see you tomorrow!
