Happy early Memorial Day! If you are in town this weekend, please join us for some fun + action this Sunday, May 24th. We’ll be building benches and tree guards and enjoying the garden this Sunday at 1-4pm on Bogart Street. We’ll bring the lemonade and maybe even fire up the BBQ! We don’t have much time left to get our block in tip top shape, so please pitch in and help out in the Love Your Block contest efforts!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Sunday, May 17th from 12-7pm Trees Not Trash will be at The Warsaw (261 Driggs Avenue) in Williamsburg for the BUST Craftacular! We will be giving a guerilla gardening demonstration (seed bombs! making planters out of kitchen junk!) and selling our shirts & bags. Come on by and support TNT and check out all the crafty goodness going on!

An exciting event is coming up for Trees Not Trash, so mark it in your calendars! We are participating in the 2009 Spring Fling BUST Craftacular at the Warsaw on Sunday, May 17th! Come learn a thing or two about guerilla gardening, make a seed bomb, and check out the event! If you’ve never been to a BUST Craftacular before, you’re in for a treat!

We hope you’ll be able to join us this weekend for 2 events! First up, we will be having a mini-plant sale tomorrow, Saturday April 9th, in Maria Hernandez Park at 11am. We are taking part in an event called Bushwick Grows Together. Come on out and say hi, pick up a plant and check out the event!
Also, we’re going to be on Bogart Street this Sunday, April 10th @ 1pm (mama’s day!) to continue with our tree planter building. We definitely need your help with this one! It takes a lot of hands to sink posts + haul big pieces of lumber, so come on out and help us make our block loved! Fun times with tools!

Apologies for the late post, but we have just returned from Build It Green in Astoria with the most amazing salvaged wood! Our plans for tree planters and benches for Bogart Street are finally going to come to fruition tomorrow! Please join us and wear your muscle T’s because we’ve got some serious lumber to haul around.
Meet at the community garden at Bogart Street @ McKibbin at 1pm, and spend the day outside the Archive Cafe (49 Bogat Street) chopping and drilling and building! Bogart Street is about to get a whole lot cooler!
