hey gang!
Our new little family is off to the west coast for a couple of weeks, so after this Sunday I will be handing over the reins to our superstar gardner Liz! She is rad and you should go and garden with her!
We are going to spend this sunday July 19th in the garden tending to the variety of veggies we’ve planted this year! Come check out the tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, cucumbers, carrots, beans and peas and get a glimpse of urban gardening! We’ll be there from 1pm onwards so stop on by! Bogart @ McKibbin.
Also, for those of you who are interested in the Learning Garden project we are doing at the Bushwick Public Library, Liz will be at the library on Monday, July 20th planting the remainder of the Parks Dept. donation we picked up last week. We brought back a veritable forest from the Bronx nursery: crabapple trees, burning bush, black-eyed susans, maple trees, echinacea, hostas, and more! The whole lot is going into the Bushwick library grounds so it will be a pretty dramatic transformation! If you would like to help out (and your help would be most appreciated!) please contact Liz directly: lizatz@hotmail.com for times + location info
If we don’t see you this Sunday, have an amazing couple of weeks and stay tuned for our very exciting upcoming colloboration with Toronto based Streets Are For People! Check em out: www.streetsareforpeople.org/blog for the Walk21 Conference in October! www.walk21.com

hi everyone
we have yet another donation from The Sprout Home (thanks Tassy!) and a library project to plan, so come join us in the cmmunity garden on Bogart @ McKibbin on SUNDAY, JULY 12th @ 1pm. And if you are interested in our new Learning Garden Project at the Bushwick Public Library, we’ll tell you all about how you can get involved!
See you Sunday!
Happy America Day, folks!
Hope you are all enjoying your USA day
We will be in the community garden on Bogart Street @ McKibbin tomorrow, Sunday July 5th @ 1pm for some gardening fun. The Sprout Home in Williamsburg donated a bunch of plants, and we are going to put them in big pots to take to the Bushwick Public Library! There’s lots of garden work to do so come on by and garden with us!
See you tomorrow!
Hey friends of TNT
Now that the LOVE YOUR (NYC) BLOCK Contest is over (results to come soon!), we are about to embark on our next project that will carry us through the rest of the summer: The Bushwick Library Project!
The Bushwick branch of the Brooklyn Public Library is located on Bushwick Avenue @ Seigel Street, and has a big open space in the back that we have been granted permission to plant! The patrons of the library will be able to enjoy the garden during library hours and hopefully the young readers will pitch in to help us turn the library into a green oasis where people can read their books and learn about growing veggies.
TNT has teamed up with ioby.org to raise funds for the project. We’ve already raised $285, but we have a long way to go to reach our goal of $1,150. Please spread the word about donating through ioby.org! Check out www.ioby.org/projects and click on the BUSHWICK LIBRARY PROJECT … help us raise the remaining funds!
thanks!
